(Emmanuel Barbee AKA Hood Liberator)

Who is Emmanuel Barbee? Emmanuel Barbee is a former resident of Chicago’s Austin neighborhood. Emmanuel Barbee is a college graduate from Northeastern Illinois University. Emmanuel has been committed to fighting for social justice, community empowerment and economic development within the inner cities of Chicago and beyond.

Emmanuel is a professional blogger, an online talkshow host, an upcoming social entrepreneur as well as a new urban author of the book "The Solution For Black America: Reclaiming, Rebuilding, And Restoring The Urban Ghettos In America" second edition available on Amazon.

This book is an auto-biography about his experience growing up in the inner city of Chicago. He provides a 21st century plan on how his Christian organization will help eradicate urban violence in the city of Chicago while at the same time meet the social needs of the urban communities and families that want to utilize their programs and services if given a chance. He wrote his book for three reasons: one reason to raise awareness about the genocide which is taken place within our inner cities in America. Another reason to promote his virtual Christian organization the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement.

Emmanuel is the founder and President of (GRCAM) the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement which he created on November 10th 1991 on a site called Gopher to help raise awareness about the genocide which is taking place within our inner cities in America. He created GRCAM as a way for him to connect with other like-minded individuals and form a new movement in Black America and start a legitimate coalition across the United States and around the globe for his cause Help Stop The Genocide In American Ghettos starting in Chicago. GRCAM exist to help improve our inner cities in America and in time expand to ten countries on the African continent. For now our focus is on strengthening single black families and see to it that our children achieve, succeed and prosper.

Once Emmanuel generate enough capital from his book sell or have his management team in place then he will start his Christian organization (GRCAI) the Grass Roots Community Activist Institute of Chicago. GRCAI will be a nonprofit cooperative organization and also a for profit service based business on the same premises. GRCAI will operate under 5 separate functions within the African American community.

1. A social service component

2. A Spiritual component (optional for secular people)

3. A Political component

4. An Entertainment component

5. An Entrepreneur component

* Our Social service component – We will provide goods and services to the low income African American community by working directly with single black mothers, single black fathers, and low income two parent families within the communities and cities we will serve.

Our goal is to promote a more just and inclusive society by strengthening low-income, primarily the black family through skill-building, access to critical resources, community advocacy and collaborative action. We believe that quality education is the foundation for a successful community along with economic empowerment and spirituality. Our Bridge Program will help low skilled adults raise their math and reading levels in order for them to earn a higher wage. We will offer coding classes for computer software. We will also offer financial literacy to assist our participants about money management.

GRCAI will make a positive difference in the lives of Chicago Westside residents of Austin, Garfield Park, and the North Lawndale community by fostering a safe and healthy environment for children and their families to live. In time GRCAI will expand to residents on the Southside of Chicago and replicate the same programs and services.

GRCAI is a community advocacy organization which seeks to aid and promote the general welfare of the African American community through dialogue, empowerment and direct action. GRCAI will fight for quality schools, adequate health services and housing in the city of Chicago. We will aim to build an equal partnership with local residents to discuss issues affecting the community with the goal of developing plans for future development. We also hope to offer nutritional education to our clients/members.

Our vision is to make our presence known in high crime drug and gang infested communities and encourage families that want to utilize our programs and services. We serve, and to be a model of compassionate, effective, and collaborative service by building our Food Distribution, achieving Client Services excellence, and building capacity and strengthening our ability to carry out our mission. Our ultimate goal is the eradicate urban violence and poverty in our communities.

GRCAI will fulfill its mission by addressing emergency needs such as food, shelter, clothing, and assist our clients in finding overnight shelter. We will offer a second chance program for ex-offenders of non-violent crimes, former gang members and assist homeless individuals who want to utilize our programs and services. We will offer private employment within the organization to our clients and members based on our budget and sponsorship. Our goal is to first stabilize the community through our outreach programs and services and create legitimate jobs so that our young people don’t become career criminals. As a result we will have safer streets where our clients can raise their families.

* Our spiritual component – (Optional for secular people) GRCAI is a Christian socialist organization. A Christian socialist is a form of socialism based on the teachings of Jesus. Many Christian socialists believe that capitalism is idolatrous and rooted in greed, social inequality, and institutionalized racism which most Christian denominations consider a mortal sin. We will focus on what we stand for: love, compassion, social justice, and liberation theology.

Jesus told us to focus on the lease of these in society according to Matthew 25:35-40. He also commanded us to be a witness to others not just for us to read his word, but to activate social change in the world according to Luke 4:18-19. We will be committed to the healing ministry of Jesus by showing compassion to inner city youth and their families which will promote dignity to the people and community we will serve.

* Our political component – We will create our own independent political party at the local level. We will educate the community and push for community rights by creating our own laws known as community rights and get those laws on the books which will be compatible with the dominant culture. Our laws would protect our local residents and give the community a voice and those affected by bias in the current system. We will hold both Rogue Cops and Urban Terrorist accountable for their actions in a constructive manner. We will form cooperative alliance beyond the black community so that this organization can be diverse for all people of Chicago and surrounding suburbs of Chicago.

* Our Entertainment component – The Grass Roots Community Activist Institute will rebuild Black Wall Street within the inner cities of America by promoting the Black Chicago Renaissance, which was a creative movement which emerged in Chicago's "Black Belt" which gave rise to Black writers, political activism, and social change.

We will host the best African American DJs, African Immigrant DJs, Afro Brazilian DJs and Afro Caribbean DJs. We will display the best of black culture has to offer: from concerts, workshops/seminars, and plenty of family friendly activities. We will host the best parties in Chicago, with various music genres such as Reggae, Gospel, R&B, Jazz, Hip Hop/Holy Hip Hop, Spoken word and more. We will create the best films and stage plays in Chicago, and we will promote unknown artist who become members of this organization.

* Our Entrepreneur component – we will provide help accelerate black business ownership within the black community which will help strengthen the black family which would make an impact in the economy.

It’s Emmanuel hope that the Grass Roots Community Activist Institute of Chicago will become a permanent infrastructure for Chicago Artist who will compete with other cities like Los Angeles, New York, and Atlanta and become the Hub throughout the Mid-west for emerging artists and upcoming black Christian Entrepreneurs. Finally, Emmanuel wrote his book in order to generate capital/seed money so that I can hire thirty qualified professionals who will assist him in the daily operation of his business.

Emmanuel wants to make Chicago a model first before they expand to 10 other cities within 10 states. He also plan on having African Immigrants in America to assist him in setting up chapters in 10 countries in Africa. His mission is to eradicate urban violence, poverty, structural inequality, institutionalized racism, and police brutality within the communities and cities they will serve if given a chance. His organization is open to all law abiding citizens, all racial groups, and undiscovered artist. This is Emanuel Barbee contribution back to his community and throughout the African Diaspora.

The only thing which is preventing me from starting my Christian organization is the lack of manpower and the capital this is why I am on social media to get my message out to the public through my Youtube videos, my Social Groups, my Blog Postings, my online talkshow, and now through my revised book. I am just one black man with a plan and a vision it takes a team to make a dream work. It’s time for my group members and people on my friends list to play your part in this new movement in Black America by purchasing my revised book and sharing my book information this will help speed up the process. Please share my book information with your family, friends, places of worship, and also at your local community center.

It’s my hope that through my story I could attract and recruit 30 professionals within the United States who have read my story and who meet the qualifications that I am looking for which are as follows: Investors, Business Partners, Christian Entrepreneurs, Social Entrepreneurs and Philanthropist.

I am also looking for legitimate Film Directors, Producers, Actors, Stage Managers, Grant Writers/Fundraisers, Technical Directors, Marketers, Accountants, Business Administrators, Social Workers, Financial Planners, Lawyers, Real Estate Brokers and Insurance Agents. After they pass the criminal background checks I will discuss compensation and incentives with them behind closed doors. We will create both a nonprofit cooperative organization and a For Profit service based business on the same premises in order to make my organization effective and successful for years to come.

I care about the black community that’s why I’m trying to start my business within the inner cities of Chicago. But for 26 years established black organizations in the city of Chicago has refuse to work with me and instead keep our people misinformed. Since 2001, over 4,000 people in Chicago alone has been killed due to urban violence and still our black leaders don’t have a plan to solve the problem. With Donald Trump in the White House, now more than ever Black America need to heed to the vision God has given me.

It’s time for a new voice and a new vision not through the same career politicians giving false hope to the American people but working with me to move my virtual Christian organization the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement from behind a computer. This is why I published my story and broadcasting my vision online as well as turning my organization private and membership based.

GRCAM is now on 300 social networks and has grown into a global movement, with thousands of people in my online social groups from around the world. GRCAM is a global community of thinkers and builders I need your help to move GRCAM from behind a computer into urban communities that need our talent and skills. My goal now is to turn GRCAM into a real Christian business (GRCAI) the Grass Roots Community Activist Institute of Chicago.

The Grass Roots Community Activist Institute of Chicago will offer broadcasting, performing arts, marketing, film making. GRCAI will focus on building an infrastructure for our grassroots Artists and Entrepreneurs. We will take an oath to become an authentic filmmaking, broadcasting and performance arts school with the hope to change the world through storytelling. GRCAI will be a community advocacy organization for the African American community in Illinois.

Our objective is to engage the black community in the political process, to recruit and educate our members about politics and encourage them to run for public office; and to lobby on behalf of the African American community on issues such as Healthcare, Education, Community Rights. GRCAI will curb political gerrymandering and encourage civic participation. Connect residents, activists, researchers, lawyers, and policymakers to join our cause for social justice. GRCAI will work across race, class, and gender to build a more just, equitable, and inclusive Chicago.

GRCAI will also promote arts initiatives that empowered individuals and create vibrant urban communities. We want to attract digital designers and entrepreneurs who create innovative technologies that support economic growth and job creation. We welcome young entrepreneurs with big ideas, who will transform industries and shape technology and the business world as we know it. In time GRCAI will host Community Projects to attract students from across the country to connect with us during cultural events. GRCAI is progress for Chicagoans of all backgrounds.

This year 2018, my objective is twofold one is to create a short film about my revised book entitled “Hood Liberator Made In Chicago” from an urban Christian perspective. I am looking for Christian film makers in the Chicagoland area who feel strongly about working with me in making this movie which will honor Jesus Christ while telling my story. I am looking for Producers, directors, with skilled with cameras, lighting, sound, Musicians, Actors/Actresses. I have already written the script it’s from my book. The length of the film will be 20 minutes and the location of the film will be set in Chicago. I am working on a shoe string budget so it will be a short film once I have my film crew in place we will discuss compensation after you are selected from our panel. I will display the short film at film festivals, seminars and screenings until I am able to gather sponsors to fund the full movie.

Secondly, I am using my podcast to build a bridge for African Americans, African Immigrants, Afro-Brazilian/Afro-Caribbean, all Christian denominations, Millennials, Non-black sympathizers, moderate Muslims and secular people who are interested in putting my ideas into action through this online platform. Help Stop The Genocide In American Ghettos an online talkshow with live shows during his podcast. We are always looking for followers. Please give us your comments and thoughts, so we can increase our audience.
