(Help Wanted: Building GRCAI In 2018 In Progress)

Me and Sister Rena cannot do this task alone we need other qualified creative thinkers to work with us. This sermon “I Can’t Settle Down” by Pastor Jamal Bryant coincide with the vision my Lord and Savior has assigned me to do in Black America. I am trying to build a new movement in Black America called the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement to help strengthen the black family and improve our inner cities starting in Chicago.

But for 26 years established black organizations in the city of Chicago has refuse to work with me and instead keep our people misinformed. Since 2001, over 4,000 people in Chicago alone has been killed due to urban violence and still our black leaders don’t have a plan to solve the problem. Now more than ever we need qualified people who will put our interest first this will create a positive impact on our lives and our communities. It’s not through career politicians but by starting our own independent political party at the local level. This is why I decided to write my story and broadcast my vision online as well as to make my Christian organization private and membership based.

I created (GRCAM) the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement in 1991 on a site called Gopher to help raise awareness about the genocide which is taking place within our inner cities in America, in order for me to connect with other like-minded individuals who share my concern to form a legitimate coalition across the United States and around the globe for my cause Help Stop The Genocide In American Ghettos starting in Chicago. GRCAM is on 300 social networks and has grown into a global movement, with thousands of people in my online social groups from around the world.

My goal now is to turn GRCAM into a real Christian business GRCAI the Grass Roots Community Activist Institute of Chicago. For those who don’t know me I am a professional blogger, an online talkshow host, an upcoming social entrepreneur and a new urban author of the book "The Solution For Black America: Reclaiming, Rebuilding, And Restoring The Urban Ghettos In America" second edition available on Amazon. This book is an auto-biography about my experience growing up in the inner city of Chicago. I hope you will take the time to learn more about my story by purchasing my revised book and read about my service to the black community through my online groups. I would be honored to have your support in this matter.

In my book I provide a 21st century plan on how my Christian organization will help eradicate urban violence in the city of Chicago while at the same time meet the social needs of the urban communities and families that want to utilize our programs and services if given a chance. We will offer stipends and private employment to our clients/members, based on our budget and our sponsorship. In time we will also offer a second chance program for ex-offenders of non-violent crimes, former gang members and homeless individuals.

GRCAI is a Christian socialist organization. A Christian socialist is a form of socialism based on the teachings of Jesus. Many Christian socialists believe that capitalism is idolatrous and rooted in greed, social inequality, and institutionalized racism which most Christian denominations consider a mortal sin. We will focus on what we stand for: love, compassion, social justice, and liberation theology. Jesus told us to focus on the lease of these in society according to Matthew 25:35-40. He also commanded us to be a witness to others not just for us to read his word, but to activate social change in the world according to Luke 4:18-19. We will be committed to the healing ministry of Jesus by showing compassion to inner city youth and their families which will promote dignity to the people and community we will serve.

The Mission

To end urban violence, poverty, structural inequality, institutionalized racism, and police brutality within the communities and cities we will serve if given a chance.

To strengthen the black family while at the same time meet the social needs of the urban communities and families that want to utilize our programs and services if given a chance.

To become an infrastructure for aspirating artist and upcoming black entrepreneurs.

The only thing which is preventing me from starting my Christian organization is the lack of manpower and the capital this is why I am on social media to get my message out to the public through my Youtube videos, my Social Groups, my Blog Postings, my online talkshow, and now through my revised book.

I am just one black man with a plan and a vision it takes a team to make a dream work. It’s time for my group members and people on my friends list to play your part in this new movement in Black America by purchasing my revised book and sharing my book information this will help speed up the process. Please share my book information with your family, friends, places of worship, and also at your local community center.

It’s my hope that through my story I could attract and recruit 30 professionals within the United States who have read my story and who meet the qualifications that I am looking for which are as follows: Investors, Business Partners, Christian Entrepreneurs, Social Entrepreneurs and Philanthropist.

I am also looking for legitimate Film Directors, Producers, Actors, Stage Managers, Grant Writers/Fundraisers, Technical Directors, Marketers, Accountants, Business Administrators, Social Workers, Financial Planners, Lawyers, Real Estate Brokers and Insurance Agents. After they pass the criminal background checks I will discuss compensation and incentives with them behind closed doors. We will create both a nonprofit cooperative organization and a For Profit business on the same premises in order to make my organization effective and successful for years to come.

Once I generate enough capital from my book sell I will recruit and hire qualified people to join my management team who will assist me with the daily operation of my Christian business. I want to make Chicago a model first before we expand to 10 other cities within 10 states throughout the Midwest. Once we're established in America I plan on having African Immigrants in America to assist me in expanding my vision to 10 countries in Africa. GRCAI will operate under 5 separate functions within the African American community.

1. A social service component

2. A Spiritual component (optional for secular people)

3. A Political component

4. An Entertainment component

5. An Entrepreneur component

The Grass Roots Community Activist Institute of Chicago will build bridges between law enforcement and the black community as well as build cooperative alliance beyond the black community with community organizations with similar objectives. Our focus will be on programming that builds personal connection, providing individuals and organizations, both in America and abroad, with opportunities for engagement, education and experience.

GRCAI is an urban institution which reflects the economic, racial, cultural, and educational diversity in Chicago. This diversity means our academic programs will reflect a variety of perspectives which will enrich the teaching and learning experience in order to prepare our students for multiculturalism which reflects our society.

We believe two kinds of outcomes will result from this work. First, through this unique programs and services people will find meaningful connection with the black culture. Second, through our films and performing arts the general public will learn about the positive things in the African American community by interacting with community residents and sharing of knowledge both community residents and the general public will grow stronger and better capable of improving our society.

Since graduating from Northeastern Illinois University, I continued to encourage my online group members to help me spread my vision with their family, friends, places of worship and also at their local community center. I use my online talkshow Help Stop The Genocide In American Ghettos as a platform for people on my friends list and people in my social groups to promote their businesses, ministries, and discuss social issues that are important to them with my listeners from the podcast community.

Once I am able to recruit brave and smart people to join my management team then we will create and offer a cooperative community driven approach on Education, After School Programs, and Economic Development. We will start GRCAI on the Westside of Chicago and we will serve Austin, Garfield Park and North Lawndale community. We will adopt a community-based approach to attract local residents to our after-school programs, and promote education and economic development.

The majority of gun homicides in cities occur within a limited geographic area and among a small group of high-risk people especially street gangs which exacerbate rates of gun violence by obtaining guns for their members, promoting the carrying of weapons, and initiating disputes that turn violent and spur retaliation. But whole neighborhoods suffer the consequences, as bystanders get caught in the cross fire and young people exposed to violence face a higher risk of later taking part in it themselves. All of this has a disproportionate impact on communities of color. Homes in which domestic conflict becomes violent also are far more dangerous when a firearm is present, a problem that is not unique to cities yet still accounts for a significant share of urban gun violence.

GRCAI can help break the cycle of violence by running programs that focus on the places and people most likely to be affected. Our programs will be aimed to change group and individual behavior and to defuse conflicts before they escalate. We will engage with high-risk individuals and give them alternatives to violence. We will bring economic opportunity and educational equality to the communities that will become equal partners will us.

According to Jens Ludwig, of the University of Chicago Crime Lab, there is data to suggest that an intensive job-training program reduces the risk of targeted individuals by 50 percent. In addition, the Crime Lab also suggests that state funding of schools is important. More specifically, the Crime Lab estimates that a 29 percent increase in school funding by the state could result in a 20 percent increase in the high school graduation rate, which in turn could lead to a 30 percent reduction in the homicide rate.

GRCAI will offer positive alternatives to at-risk youths before they fall into patterns of violence, using interventions shown to have long-term impacts on violent behavior. I believe the problem of urban violence is our nation’s most prevalent threat to our health and security.

GRCAI will be a community of educators, scholars, and learners committed to academic, creative, and innovation. GRCAI will promote mutual understanding, inclusion, social consciousness, and push for social justice. GRCAI seeks and will serve a diverse, promising student body from Chicago and around the world.

GRCAI will take the lead in solving black issues within the black community and seek to attract black middleclass professionals and Non-black sympathizers student-faculty interaction and engagement with community residents. This experience will create a strong faculty dedicated to excellence in teaching, community research, and creative activity and a staff equally focused on helping our students grow and achieve their educational goals.

The Grass Roots Community Activist Institute of Chicago will focus on social, economic and cultural development of urban communities. We will offer a broad scope of academic programs, from vocational training to associates and baccalaureate degrees, in a highly interactive environment where students can explore, discover, and develop their unique abilities and interests. GRCAI will be a community of educators, scholars and learners committed to academic, creative and innovation within the inner cities of Chicago.

GRCAM is a global community of thinkers and builders I need your help to move GRCAM from behind a computer into our urban communities that need our talent and skills. I believe this act of human collaboration across an open platform is essential to the low income African American community and our collective future.

The Grass Roots Community Activist Institute will be private in order for us to weed out people who don’t care about inner-city youth, their families, or the black community. GRCAI will become a cooperative, governed by an Advisory Board. GRCAI will be membership based and operated for the mutual benefit of our members. Also, any earnings we make are returned to our members in the forms of lower prices and improved services. Our members come first and we will be committed to providing trusted and understandable information. This level of cooperation builds a strong bond between members in the cooperative. We will work towards keeping our members healthy, informed, and safe.

Everyone will be screen and must attend our mandatory orientation and sign the community pledge no exceptions. No harden criminals, No active gang members, No urban terrorist, No pedofiles, and no half steppers allowed in my organization this is how I get down. GRCAI is open to all ordinary law-abiding citizens, all racial groups, and undiscovered artist. This is my contribution back to my community, society and throughout the African Diaspora.
